He is a Consultant Psychiatrist and an honorary Professor at Sir JJ Group Hospital and heads the Department of Psychiatry, Unit 2, at GT Hospital, Mumbai. He is also associated with Gleneagles Global Hospital, Mumbai. With an experience of more than 30 years, Dr Matcheswalla is an expert in forensic psychiatry, de-addiction psychiatry, general psychiatry and emergency psychiatry. He has many awards to his name, including Lifetime Achievement Award by the Government of Maharashtra for his services at GT Hospital as well as the Dr CL Zhaveri Oration Award.
